Program Description

ASPIRE Advisor Volunteers help high school students to envision a future of possibilities. They provide one-on-one mentoring that includes academic preparation, scholarship search, career exploration, college choice and financial aid. College is defined as any 2-year or 4-year college, or vocational/technical school. ASPIRE is not just for high-achieving or at-risk students but serves the whole student body. By being inclusive, we are more likely to reach the student who believes a postsecondary education is unobtainable. ASPIRE Advisors are matched with 1 to 10 students. Currently there are more than 250 volunteers at 28 schools statewide. The ASPIRE program provides training and resource materials.
